Whenever You Come Around

Whenever You Come Around by Robin Lee Hatcher Charity Anderson has avoided her hometown for years but circumstances have changed and she is forced to come home for the summer. She has moved back to her parent’s house while they are out of time. She has a writing deadline to meet and hopes to squirrel herself away from everyone in town. Of course situations and her next story neighbor Buck Malone may have something else to say about that. This is a typical love story where you know up front that the two characters are destined to be together. One keeps this story moving forward is the secret that Charity has kept from everyone including her family and kept her way from King’s Meadow. The story is an enjoyable one especially in the hands of Robin Lee Hatcher who never seems to disappoint her fans. It is a quick read and although the reader hopes (and knows) that Charity and Buck will find their way to each other, the patience the Buck character shows and the forgiveness that Charity learns are great lessons. This book is recommended for any Robin Lee Hatcher fan and those readers who love sweet romances. Love Without End

Love Without End by Robin Lee Hatcher

Chet Leonard lost his son and wife and over the last few years has been trying to keep his remaining family together.  His family has owned his ranch for more than two generations and eighty-four year old, Anna McKenna has seen it all. Anna has moved back to help Chet when they meet a fifteen year-old  Tara Welch and her mom, Kimberly. Kimberly recently moved to town having no where else to go after her husband died leaving them with financial troubles. Chet feeling sorry, agrees to help Tara learn how to ride a horse in exchange for lessons.

This book will not disappoint fans of Robin Lee Hatcher.  Although at first glance, it appears to be a romantic western, it reads more like a cozy read. The romance between Chet and Kimberly seems secondary to the revelation of Chet’s family and Anna’s role among the two generations. Anna’s life is revisited via flashbacks intermixed with the blooming romance between Chet and Kimberly and the friendship between their children. The characterization of Chet and Kimberly were not as detailed as one would think for a romance book but the character development of Anna keeps the reader engaged with the story. This is a quick and enjoyable read but in my opinion, not one of the best books written by Robin Lee Hatcher.

The Heart’s Pursuit

The Heart’s Pursuit by Robin Lee Hatcher

Silver Matlock fell for a man who was so wrong for her.  In fact, the man left her at the altar and took all her father’s money. Silver was so embarrassed that she fell for such a man  and left her father and stepmother in jeopardy of losing everything.  Silver is determined to find the rogue and hires Jared Newman, a bounty hunter. Silver decides that she must accompany Jared to recovery the monies. They take off for an adventure and along the way learn to trust and forgive.

Robin Lee Hatcher’s fans will not be disappointed with this novel. Ms. Hatcher always develops her characters where the reader cares about their outcome. The plot moves along quickly and is an easy read. There is murder and a little mystery but the pursuit of the jilted is secondary on the developing relationship/romance between Silver and Jared. Readers of historical romance novels will enjoy this story.
