Sabrina’s Man by Gilbert Morris
Sabrina is a spoiled girl who lives in the time of the civil war. She only thinks of herself until her sister runs away with a man she barely knows and the family suspects is bad news. Sabrina at this point decides to go after her sister and heads west to find her. She meets Waco, a criminal, who is willing to go with her to retrieve her sister in lieu of a jail sentence.
This title is one in the Western Justice series but can be read as a stand alone. It is a quick read and was enjoyable but not the best book I have read from Gilbert Morris. The plot was pretty predictable and did not hold any suspense. The romance seemed quick toward the end of the book and just didn’t build or explain why they really fell in love. If you are looking for a good historical romance, I would go back and read some of his earlier titles.
Note: I received an electronic version of this title through Net Galley and the publisher, Barbour Publishing.
