Kate Lawrence has worked all her life looking for the man that fits her ideal mate. She even wrote a book and had an advice column to help women to find their perfect mate. Not only has she been stood up at the alter but her wedding is the press event of the year. Kate has to make a vital decision and in walks Lucas Wright. He offers to marry her on the spot. Will Kate and Lucas live happily ever after? They are not compatible and Lucas doesn’t fit her perfect mate. Everything she has known until now has been shattered.
I really liked this story by Denise Hunter. This title is part of a series, A Nantucket Love Story. I have not read any of the other titles in this series. Ms. Hunter keeps the story line moving and I found myself staying up late wrapped up in Kate’s life and the consequences to her decision to marry Lucas. The characters are written in such a matter that I found myself caring about them almost instantly. If you like a sweet but plausible plot this book is for you. My only complaint is that I didn’t want the story to end.
