I read in the Georgia Outdoor Magazine December issue about two guys that found a deer which had fallen down a well. They were scouting and heard something thrashing around at the bottom of a forty-foot well. They used a flashlight to see down the well and saw that it was a buck.
They tried to pull the buck up using a rope around the antlers. (I’m sure that hurt the poor guy!) That was unsuccessful so they just grabbed the antlers bare-handed and pulled him up. According to the story, the buck once he was out of the well just laid there a few minutes stunned. He eventually wandered off after stumbling a little. He then ran off.
